Need a compressor, dryer or receiver? Claim the $20K asset write-off.
The instant asset write-off is here to stay.
The Federal Government permanently extended the $20,000 instant asset write‑off from 1 July 2026.
Small businesses with turnover up to $10 million can now immediately deduct eligible assets costing less than $20,000, providing greater confidence when making investment decisions.
What does this mean for your business?
If your existing compressed air system needs an upgrade or your business is expanding and you need new compressors, dryers or air receivers, you will be able to write these assets off, up to the value $20,000.
You can claim multiple assets, as long as each asset is under $20,000.
Why upgrade now?
If your workshop is running on an older or inefficient air compressor, now is the perfect time to upgrade.
Immediate tax benefit
Claim a full deduction on eligible air compressors, dryers and air receivers under $20,000 in this financial year.
Lower energy costs
New compressors, especially Variable Speed Drive (VSD) models, can reduce power consumption (and energy bills) by up to 30–50%.
Improved performance and reliability
Get consistent air supply, less downtime, and quieter operations with a new compressor.
Multiple assets eligible for asset write-off
If you need a separate compressor, dryer and receiver, or even multiple compressors for your operations, you can claim the instant asset write-off on each individual asset (as long as each one is under $20,000).
